12/13/24 | I'm Done With Finals!!!

I did it. I officially completed a third semester of college. Crazy how fast time flies!

Obviously it was pretty stressful trying to meet all the deadlines, especially since I had three large projects to complete. I spent my entire weekend working on one of them and I had no free time left. (Aside from money, this was another reason I ended up missing that local convention I mentioned earlier. WEIRD AL OF ALL PEOPLE WAS THERE!!! I COULD'VE MET HIM!! forever mourning that loss)

I did however buy a bunch of goodies from my college art fair, including stuff from a few friends of mine! I saw a few artists selling Arcane fanart, so of course I needed those in my collection. The Human Rights Club at my college even raised $634 for the PCRF while tabling there, which brings me levels of happiness I can't express! (They did unfortunately get harassed by a Zionist which is stupid as fuck.)

I'm finally on winter break now that the semester is over. I don't really have any plans yet, but I'm definitely visiting my family for Christmas. I also have more time to make more personal art, which is also cool. :)

I wish whoever's reading this a good winter break as well!

12/05/24 | Finals and Stuff

It's finals week, and it's by far the most stressful part of college. The last two or three weeks of the semester are always spent wanting to get everything over with and then enjoying the relaxing break that comes after. End-of-semester assignments are always on the mind, and the anxiety takes over. It feels similar to the end of senior year in high school, in a way. Just wanting to be done with school and then moving on with life. And then that feeling of sweet relief and sense of victory hits during graduation. (Except I'm a sophomore in college and I have to deal with this stress for 2+ years. But the end of college semesters feels VERY similar to this.)

I have a few big projects due next week, and I've been spending all my time cranking them out. I hardly have time to make personal art or anything! I'm too busy worrying about completing my work on time.

My college is also hosting an art fair this weekend where students and alumni can sell their own work. I'm looking forward to going since there are so many talented artists at my college. I actually have a couple friends tabling there, and I plan on buying from them! It's always good to support your local artists (friends included)! There's also a huge nearby convention happening on the same day but sadly I can't afford to go this year. :(

To anyone else who's struggling with finals, you got this! Keep it up! It'll be over sooner than you know it! :D
