First I wanna mention some stuff that happened in my personal life. Then I'll get more into current events.

I started a new semester of college a couple weeks ago! It's going ok so far, I guess. The snow storm hit Ohio pretty bad, so a bunch of my classes got cancelled. I haven't had much workload either because of this.
One of my classes involves making an animated short film, so stay tuned for my project. :3

Now for my thoughts about current events:
Obviously I'm gonna start with ICE. The way they are treating civilians makes me sick. I just wanna say that if you're reading this and you support what ICE is going, my content is not for you.
I saw the videos of the murders of Renee Good and Alex Pretti. They showed no malice or aggression towards ICE, yet they were executed anyway. And they were so young too. It's gross seeing people try to spin this and justify their murders. "She was trying to run him over!" 1. She was literally turning AWAY from the ICE agent, and 2. He literally stood in front of her car with the intention of shooting her in the face. And he called her a "fucking bitch" after killing her. "He had a gun!" 1. Oh so now you care about people walking around with guns? People like to bring up the Kyle Rittenhouse situation, which was a completely different thing. For instance, Minnesota is an open-carry state, and Pretti had a permit to legally own his gun. Rittenhouse, however, crossed state lines and illegally possessed an assault rifle as a minor, WITH THE INTENTION TO SHOOT PROTESTORS. 2. Pretti only had his phone in his hands. He never reached for his gun. 3. One of the ICE agents in the video disarmed Pretti not even a second before he got shot.
I'm glad that Good and Pretti's stories are getting mainstream coverage, but it sucks that it took two white people dying at the hands of ICE to get people to act. Keith Porter, a Black man, was shot and killed by an off-duty ICE agent during New Year's Eve, and his story hasn't been covered by the media. Not to mention all the other ICE victims, especially Hispanic ones. Also it's really ironic when "Say Her/His Name" gets used for Good and Pretti, when the whole point of that chant is that Black women who are victims of police brutality do not et their names mentioned in the news. And I've seen leftists online trying to argue with Black people about this issue. EVERYONE IS SAYING THE NAMES RENEE GOOD AND ALEX PRETTI.
"But Keith Porter had a gun! He was shooting!" His neighbors said that he was just in his own yard and firing into the air, which is a way of celebrating the new year.
I also wanna bring up Liam Ramos, a 5-YEAR-OLD CHILD who was recently kidnapped by ICE. The same crowd that screams "protect the kids" will turn around and support this. The government is literally kidnpping children and these people don't care. There's nothing that a literal child would do to warrant getting abducted by ICE. I read that the conditions of the detention center were so bad that Ramos became depressed and refused to eat. A 5-year-old. Being treated like this. All because he's Hispanic. I have siblings who are around that age, and I can't imagine them going through what Ramos is living. Fortuantely, as of today, I heard that he may be getting released!! PLEASE. Free him and every other child being put through this hell!
To wrap this section up, abolish ICE and fuck anyone who supports them. My heart goes out to everyone currently in Minneapolis. Stay safe!

Oh, and WHAT DO YOU MEAN CATHERINE O'HARA DIED??? WHAT THE FUCK. I was literally watching a video about Keith Porter, and when I had only a SECOND left of the video, I got hit with a Discord message about her passing. WHAT- She was literlly THE TV mom. Home Alone 1 and 2 are my favorite Christmas movies of all time, so this hits me pretty hard. She was an icon, and she was in so many other movies and shows too. I have mom OCs that are inspired by her. RIP to this absolute legend.

And that concludes this month's blog. I know half the stuff I write is about politics, but I don't care. There are several injustices happening throughout the world, and as a marginalized person I feel obligated to speak up about them.
1/4/26 | Happy Belated New Year!
Hey guys! Just wanted to pop in and say Happy New Year! (even though I'm a few days late 💀) I'll admit 2025 wasn't a very eventful year for me (and it was just a shitty year overall). 2026 is off to a rough start (with Grok generating CSEM and unclothing women without their consent, and the U.S. bombing Venezuela and kidnapping their president), but hopefully things get better! 😬
