12/25/25 | merry crisis

I'm staying at my family's place for a few days this Christmas. I didn't get much this year, but I'm grateful for everything that I did get! (And it's kinda hard being poor and doing Christmas shopping for several kids. I helped out by getting my family some gifts too.)

I think the highlight of my haul was a disc drive for my laptop. I've been thrifting DVDs lately and I want to actually USE them instead of just having them sit in my wardrobe. I could probably do a whole rant about physical media vs streaming, but I'll save that for another blog. It's nice to actually OWN movies and shows instead of subscribing to a streaming service that'll inevitably remove your favorite film one day.

I tested out my disc drive earlier and it works! I needed a movie to use and my family lent me Shrek of all things. XD

12/19/25 | I'm on Winter Break

I meant to announce this sooner, but last week my winter break oficially started! I finished all my finals and I officially survived 5 undergrad semesters! It's weird to think about how much time has passed since I first started college.

Also GalaxyCon Columbus happened 2 weeks ago, and I missed out again because I'm poor. 😭 Weird Al even returned this year. :( At least 2 of my friends went and one of them got to meet him afaik. I'm happy for them. :3

A week of my break has passed. Nothing outstanding has happened. Today I got bored and decided to binge watch Nyan~ Neko Sugar Girls in its entirety for the first time. 10/10 best anime.

At least Christmas is coming up soon! I'm looking forward to that!
